Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you
love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt
offering on a mountain I will show you.” – Genesis 22:2
What kind of sick individual would put a parent in the
position of killing their child? How
could this be considered moral? It does
not matter that Yahweh/Jehovah recanted his mandate to Abraham and allowed his
son to live. Imagine what God wanted
Abraham to do as a test. He wanted
Abraham to slit his son’s throat and then set him on fire. Please re-read the previous sentence one more
time for emphasis. This is the God that
wants your adoration. This is why the
scourge of religion needs to be eliminated, not by force but by the
understanding that is what this God would like as devotion. Pure allegiance and service to this vile
creature is what it desires. This
monster can gift wrap the rest of the Bible as a sound foundation of morals but
this requested act is a testament to what God wants from us.
“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not
worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy
of me. – Matthew 10:37
Please remember both the example of Abraham and the
aforementioned scripture when thinking about where you devotions lie…
It is faith that was the impulse engine for the
Crusades, the Inquisition, the Nazi’s Holocaust, and other atrocities. Faith
is the motor that allows people to be complacent in their lives. Faith allows people to truly believe in miracles.
Faith can make a father like the biblical Abraham place a knife onto the
throat of his son. Faith can make a Jehovah’s
Witness withhold a blood transfusion for
themselves or significant others when that is the only cure. Faith allowed 19 men to fly into the twin
towers, the pentagon and an open field in
Pennsylvania. Conversely, it was only
facts that allowed the U.S. to kill Osama Bin Laden.
What do you think?
Is faith so strong that it can lead people to kill? Is faith a bad thing?
So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord
commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials,
and it became a snake. Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the
Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: Each one
threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up
their staffs. – Exodus 7:10-12
Which God was
stronger? The God of the Bible or the gods
Excerpt from “The True
Nature Of Human Nature”
may never die due to the supposed comfort that it brings. Prayer has been
foisted upon parishioners as a way to directly communicate with God as a
means of comfort. However, what has
prayer ever done that was beneficial? If
two football teams pray for victory, one of their prayers will not be fulfilled.
The Islamic hijackers of United Airlines Flight 93 were praying to God
before they attempted to hit their intended target. The ironic thing is that
the passengers prayed to God as well.
What good did any of their prayers do?
For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him. – Leviticus 20:9
The murder of children because of their cursing of parents? How can this behavior be even remotely justifiable? Since when can anything verbal justify the killing of an individual? Who cares if this is listed in the Old Testament. How was this ever moral? Why did God ever allow this type of behavior?
Wives, submit yourselves to your
husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. – Colossians 3:18.
A woman[a] should learn in quietness and
full submission. I do not
permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man;[b] she must be quiet. – 1 Timothy
This is why there was a need for a women’s right
revolution! The Bible inculcated these
teachings to men on how a female should behave!
If it were not for the Bibles teachings, women would have been treated as equals. How can we overlook this mainstay in the Christian
religion? We can’t. The Bible is wrong for teaching this. There is no God.
“Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod
must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave
recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property. – Exodus 21:20-21
How can anyone profess the Jewish or Christian faith when it itself condones slavery! How can any racial minority be a Christian when Jesus himself did not condemn slavery, but used slaves in his illustrations? Also, the apostile Paul admonishes us to KEEP slaves.
Tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to
give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to talk back, not to pilfer,
but to show complete and perfect fidelity, so that in everything they may be an
ornament to the doctrine of God our Savior. – Titus 2:9-10
Some people believe that crushed rhino horn can cure a range of
illnesses and it is even viewed as an
aphrodisiac in Traditional Asian Medicine.
However, the rhino horn is
comprised of keratin, the same material as our fingernails and has no medicinal
value. If rhino horn proved to have
medicinal benefits, it would mean that we too can acquire these effects by
biting our fingernails! Unfortunately,
this ill-conceived notion is the reason why rhinos are being hunted to extinction.
Look at what belief can make people do.
If belief can make humans hunt a species to
extinction, what can a belief in a God lead to?
Alienation of other groups? Wars? Terrorism?
Shunning? Hatred towards
homosexuals? What else does a belief in
a fake God make people do?
Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. As people moved eastward,[a] they found a plain in Shinar[b] and settled there.
They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake
them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for
mortar. Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a
tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for
ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole
But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were
building. The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have
begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do
will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they
will not understand each other.” – Genesis 11:1-7
What was God afraid of? What did he think the people of Babel would
or could do? Why did God say that
nothing would be impossible for them to accomplish? Why was an omnipotent being like God afraid
If God is eternal and all knowing, then why should the religions inspired views change or evolve once science and basic logic postulates the true reality? If the Lord is truly omniscient then why aren’t his early teaching concretized from inception, never to change again? Why does religion need to adapt to the ever increasing knowledge bestowed by science if God knows all?
from the book The True Nature Of Human Nature
Over the years, religion has justified its
existence via passages from a holy book and have stated that since the quotes listed in these writings are inspired by
their God, they should be adhered
to as fact. Previous arguments in the past would involve a quote from
scripture as their basis of faith and that these truths were undeniable.
These truths included that the world was flat, that the Earth was the center of
the solar system or universe, that every
creature on the planet was created by God and so on. However, when science provided facts that were
contrary to these truths, these principals were either stated to have never
been true in the first place or were
assimilated into their beliefs. This retroactive evidentialism has
continued throughout the history of religion in the face of science. If a
sentient creator compelled man to write these books via inspiration and
revelation, then why is such fine-tuning
of their beliefs essential? I have heard the argument from progressive
Christians in the past that the Bible, for
example, was written so far back in time that you must understand the Bible in its context and that you cannot bring
a modern idea into the classic religious infrastructure without violating or
harming scripture. This point of contention falls flat on its face as it
places the supreme deity in a position of disenfranchisement, a creator without
all of the answers.
And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. – Luke 22:44. When Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before he was crucified, it is stated in Biblical lore that his sweat became like drops of blood. Hematidrosis is a real medical condition in which the blood vessels surrounding the sweat glands rupture and mix with the sweat, producing drops of sweat. This is rare but is caused by extreme emotional distress. In this story, he knew that he was going to die. Likewise, when he was wandering the Judaean Desert for 40 days and 40 nights, when he intersected with Satan, he was truly tempted. He was starving, he knew that he was powerful and that he was there for a reason. Therefore, when the Devil offered that Jesus makes food for himself, etc., etc., it took every fiber of his being to resist.
Fast forward to today and analyze
those who participate in Lent. It is not uncommon for parishioners to abstain
from chocolate, coffee or cheese. What are these hollowed displays of piety
supposed to mean? If God actually existed, what would he say to these empty
offerings? Would God accept these pittances of sacrifice when the reality is
that you are probably doing things that are in contrast with the Bible? Is it
okay to sacrifice a food product for Lent when you are sleeping with someone
with being married? Are you following exactly what the Bible prescribes as a
godly way of life? If not, then you are wasting your time abstaining from a
food group because God will not be listening to you. Then again, he is not
listening to you because he does not exist.
