For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. – Genesis 7:4.
If God initiated the flood because man was wicked, why did he have to kill off all the animals, creatures that did not sin? What did the animals do to deserve this punishment, the extinguishing of their lives? Why God?
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance
about what we do not see. – Hebrews 11:1. Does anyone see a problem with this
scripture? It basically says that faith
is the self-comforting belief without evidence.
Why would a god want you to believe in him with no evidence?
When Jesus (God), the originator of the cosmos and creator of all
life, specifically human beings, was confronted with an epileptic individual in
Mark 9, did he cure his neurological illness by touching his head and somehow
halting the incessant random impulses in the brain with his magical powers? No. He
exorcized the demon that was controlling
this individual’s body. Epilepsy is the
misfiring of neurons that unconsciously promotes sudden and awkward movements
entirely out of the control of the afflicted individual. Demonic exorcism is not a valid form of
treatment. If this is the God who
created us in whole, why was he ill prepared to administer the proper
care? Doctors today can explain in great
detail what exactly happens during a seizure.
Why is it that human beings (created by God) are better equipped to care
for this malady? If Jesus was the
creator of all humanity, why did he
provide false information to be inscribed in his inspired word?
He took the blind man by the hand and
led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his
hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” He looked up and said, “I see people; they
look like trees walking around.” Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s
eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything
clearly. – Mark 8:22-25
What was the deal with Jesus spitting
on people? We know that if Jesus was
real, he could heal with just his own words.
Why did Jesus need to spit on people to heal certain maladies, like
blindness?
Absalom said to Ahithophel,
“Give us your advice. What should we do?” Ahithophel answered, “Sleep with your
father’s concubines whom he left to take care of the palace. Then all Israel
will hear that you have made yourself obnoxious to your father, and the hands
of everyone with you will be more resolute.” So they pitched a tent for Absalom
on the roof, and he slept with his father’s concubines in the sight of all
Israel. Now in those days the advice
Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God. That was how both
David and Absalom regarded all of Ahithophel’s advice. – 2 Samuel 16:20-23
So all in all, because
David killed Uzziah in order to sleep with Bathsheba, Uzziah’s wife, God cursed
David and had David’s son forcibly have sex with his concubines “in the sight
of all Israel!” What does this say about
Yahweh, the God of Judaism and Christianity?
But if the thing is
true, and evidences of virginity are not found for the young woman, then they
shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men
of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done a disgraceful
thing in Israel, to play the harlot in her father’s house. So you shall put
away the evil from among you. – Deuteronomy 22:20-21
Therefore, if a woman has sex before marriage, she should be
stoned to death. What does that say to how
early Christian women in that time period were treated? This does not happen to men. Why the dissymmetrical management between
sexes? This is because women were
treated as chattel in the eyes of men and that belief was transposed into the
Bible because the Bible is the act of men and not of God. What say you?
Why is it wrong when a suicide bomber detonates themselves? Lets pretend that there are no civilian casualties or building damage. The bomber fails and he or she is the only resulting death. What is the problem with that? We would still say that the person was a deranged individual. However, this person believes in martyrdom and has come to the conclusion that this needs to occur in order to please its God, Allah. It is the art of human sacrifice to a diety. If this is true, then Jesus sacrifice can be viewed in the same manner. Both are acts of human sacrifice to a God. Both died as martyrs. Both should be viewed as deranged. What do you think?
Religion loves to deploy magic whenever science deconstructs religion. When science picks religious beliefs apart, religion turns to magical incantations in order to convolve faith and reality. Evolution? God did that. The creation of the universe out of nothing? God did that. Who created God? God is eternal. Its magic!
How long should we allow such sleight of hand to be the
response to such questions? How dare
theists use such childish rebuttals as responses to these important questions! What do you think?
Therefore
God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for
the degrading of their bodies with one another.
They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served
created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to
shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for
unnatural ones. In the same way the men
also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one
another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves
the due penalty for their error.
Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the
knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do
what ought not to be done. They have
become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They
are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of
doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no
fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that
those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very
things but also approve of those who practice them. – Romans
1:24-32
The Bible declares that homosexuals deserve death, but
there are those who still think that they can be gay and a Christian at the
same time. How is it that some people can
conflate these two ideologies? How can a
person consider themselves Christian in this day and age when the Bible says
that homosexuals deserve death for their “sins”?
How is it that God sees everything but failed to
intervene during black slavery, the crusades, women’s forced indebted
servitude, rape, child molestation, the outcasting and murder of homosexuals
and all of the mass genocides of the 19th and 20 centuries?
Proverbs 5:21 – The Lord sees everything you do.
Wherever you go, he is watching.
Hebrews 4:13 – Nothing in all creation is hidden from
God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to
whom we must give account.
Proverbs 15:3 – The eyes of the LORD are everywhere,
keeping watch on the wicked and the good.
